As someone who has also been actively working at various pursuits for 30 years (or more…sigh), it warms my heart to experience the freshness and creativity in this lovely tribal ambience while also seeing it remain true to lifelong artistic visions. Listening takes me deeply into the heart of the now, and actually makes me want to be here. Thanks to both musicians also for making this music available for free: may your gift of love be returned a thousandfold. Dave Aftandilian
If I wanted to point someone to Steve Roach's music, I'd start them here. This record spans some of Roach's signature styles, like the percolating synths in "Currents of Compassion", the dreamy abstraction of "Prometheus Passage", the tribal rhythms of "The Gone Place", and the elegiac majesty of "What Remains". It's stunning all around and guaranteed to make any day better. fyeahmetal
This album will grow on you. Listen in headphones or earbuds. It will blow your mind. Steve has so many amazing textures and dimensions on this release. It's hard to pick a favorite track. Probably in his top 5, if there is such a thing. 53Guitarman
